IMFI Adding Values to University Education.

International Management and Finance Institute (IMFI) which is promoting IMFI ICT ACADEMIC & IMFI BUSINESS SCHOOL, was founded in 1993 by Sir Sunday U. Akpan, a retired Permanent Secretary. It was designed to be an authoritative Professional Tertiary Institution for preparing candidates for Internationally Recognized Professional Examinations, such as those conducted by ICAN, CIBN, CISCO, MICROSOFT, ORACLE, and the Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) CPN. IMFI was granted formal approval by the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Education in 1995, vide letter Ref. No. MOE/SEC/PV/93/VOL.1/85 of 6th April, 1995. IMFI is duly accredited by both Centre for Management Development (CMD) and Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria). It is also duly registered as an incorporated body of Corporate Affairs Commission, vide Reg. No. RC.386,652. In 2007, the Federal Ministry of Education through the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) vide letter No. C/TEB.467/Col. 315 of 9th May, 2007, granted approval to IMFI to operate an ICT Academy under the Innovation Enterprise Institutions (IEI) launched by the Federal Government that year. These programmes are designed to be skill-driven/industry based. Successful graduates are to be awarded the National Innovation Diploma (NID) or Higher National Innovation Diploma (HNID) as the case may be. .
