Course Description
NATIONAL
INNOVATION DIPLOMA (NID)
OBJECTIVE:
IMFI ICT Academy is approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria, through
Federal Ministry of Education and accredited by National Board for Technical
Education (NBTE) as an Innovation Enterprise Institution (IEI) to award National
Innovation Diploma (NID) equivalent to National Diploma (NID). NID is designed
to prepare students to meet the requirements of the labour market by offering
industry-oriented knowledge and practical skills in ICT within the context of
Nigeria’s emerging economy on the world’s increasingly competitive scene.
ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS:
(i)
Minimum of 5 credit
Passes in English Language, Mathematics Physics, Chemistry and other science
subject at not more than two sittings in WASSCE/NECO/NABTEB for admission into
NID Computer Software Engineering Technology, Computer Hardware Engineering
Technology and Networking & System Security while a minimum of 5 credit
Passes in English Language Mathematics Economics/ Commerce, Computer Studies/
ICT and one social science subject in WASSCE/NECO/NABTEB for admission into NID
Business Management & Information Technology [Literature in English and Oral English are not acceptable in place of
English Language] and (ii) Minimum cut off score in this year Jamb U.T.M.E.
in relevant subjects combination.
DURATION: Two academic years comprising of four
semesters for full time students and three academic years comprising of six
semesters for part time students.
